Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the perception of the society on the adapted drama of the novel in the selection of drama, experience and process of obtaining information. Drama adapted from the novel has become a popular genre on television. This study uses quantitative methods through distribution of questionnaires. The results of this study show the extent to which the public perception of the novel adapted from the novel. Using the data obtained from the respondents to analyze the relationship between drama selection, experience and information retrieval process has been tested using Pearson Correlation. The results showed that there was a positive and strong relationship between independent variables (independent variables), drama selection, experience and the process of obtaining information influencing public perceptions of adapted drama from novel. Therefore, the researcher expects the results of this study to provide new information regarding perception.
