Abstract

This research discusses the traditional customs of the Dusun in Kampung Timbua Ranau, Sabah. Nowadays, there is a phenomenon of erosion of uniqueness and authenticity of Dusun traditional marriage due to the absorption of assimilation either negatively or positively. Therefore, the researcher conducted a study on identifying the root causes of the uniqueness and authenticity of the traditional wedding customs of the orchards. The researchers used qualitative methods to collect data by interviewing, five informants at the Timbua Ranau village. The researchers found that the Dusun community in Timbua village still practiced this traditional wedding culture until now.
