Abstract
Studies were conducted in the field in Kota Samarahan to observe type of insect and disease pest. Five farms were chosen with different crop planted in different crop at farmer’s field in Kota Samarahan area, including Asajaya area. Sampling were done randomly using personal visit and interview using survey form to a representative sample of farmers and growers to collect information on what they have used. Result showed different type of disease and pest were found. Fifteen of pest and disease e.g. fruit borer and caterpillar the most common pest were recorded on randomly chosen farm. Usage of pesticides, fungicides and herbicides were recorded and compiled as this will be used as reference for further research.
