Abstract
A study on the distribution of razor clam spats across intertidal zone was conducted at Trombol, Telaga Air, Sarawak. The objectives of this study are to determine the distribution of razor clam spatsin terms of size and density across intertidal zone. Five samplings were conducted during lowest tide from October 2013 until March 2014. Sediment was dug out along line transect across the intertidal zone which is from high tide to low tide zones for spats sampling and 20 cm core sediment were taken . The environmental parameter (temperature, salinity and pH) also was measured in situ. The data were further analysed by using One Way ANOV A and Pearson Correlation to determine whether there is a significant different between shell size and month. at the study area. In this study, the range size of spats collected was increase according to monthly sampling. The pH might influence the density of spats.
