Abstract
The study of meiofauna community structure in the razor clam area was conducted at the two intertidal beaches of Buntal and Bako sites. Five stations of each site were determined along the horizontal transect established from Mean High Water Neap to Mean Low Water Neap. From the study, both razor clam area of Buntal and Bako sites were dominated by Copepoda. The total density of Copepoda found in Buntal site is 438 individuals per 10cm2 and in Bako site is 203 individuals per 10cm2. Then, the density is followed by Nematoda, Polychaeta, Tardigrada, Oligochaeta, Turbellaria, Cumacea, Sarcomastigophora, Euphausid, Amphipoda, Gastrotricha, Halacaloroidea, Insecta, Radiolarian, Kinorhyncha and Gnasthostomulida for both sites. The abundance of the meiofauna is diverse as the diet for razor clams and the meiofauna taxa is correlated by the temperature, total organic matter and chlorophylla. The data gathered is important for future management of the areas
