Abstract

Studies on the methanol extracts were carried out on the plant of Eupatorium odora/um, Sonchus arvensis, and Wedelia biflora. In the process of extraction, isolation, purification, techniques of analytical Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC), Preparative Thin Layer Chromatography (PTLC) and Column Chromatography has been used. Functional groups determination was carried out based on Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectrum. Brine Shrimps cytotoxicity test carried out on each crude extract revealed that most ofthe extract show low cytotoxicity level. Eupatorium odoratum give LCso value al 625.0 flglmL, Sonchus an'ensis give LCso value at 1000.0 flglmL and Wedelia biflora give LCso value al 770.0 flg/mL.
