Abstract

The study on growth and hiomass allocation pattern of Cryptocolyne bullosa Engler (Araceae) as inOuenced by different shade levels and water depths was conducted a t Univcrsiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). Samples were co llected fi·om Sg. Bawang, Bintulu, Sarawak and cultivated to different light regimes (25% shading, 50% shading and 75% shading) and water depth regimes (0 em, 15 cm and 30 cm) for growth measurement and biomass allocation. Plants growth was significantly effected hy shading and water depth . Propagation by rhizome curting indicated that rhizome cuttings comprised of more than one node sprouted more than those with one node.
