Abstract

This aim of this study is to examine the level of efficiency of the Islamic and conventional commercial banks in Malaysia before and after the Global Financial Crisis. The data is collected in quantitative form through the annual report that provided by the Bursa Malaysia or the bank’s website. Statistical method will be employed to analyze on the performance of the bank before and after the crisis and the comparison between both of the bank will be made. The analysis in term of profitability ratio, liquidity ratio, liability management ratio and asset quality ratio will be acts as the variables and Eview 7 is the software that going to used to test for the data. The dependent variable and independent variables is being selected to apply in this study. Multiple regression model is create to show the relationship between the dependent and independent variables. Besides, the impact of the independent variables toward the dependent variable will be analyzed by using the regression analysis.
