Abstract

This study aims to look at how the role played by the Kumpulan Dikir GAMUTRA in the communication process with the community in Kampung Raja, Besut, Terengganu. The objective of this study are (a) identify development Kumpulan Dikir GAMUTRA, (b) examine the role played by the Kumpulan Dikir GAMUTRA in the communication process with the community Kampung Raja, Besut, Terengganu, and (c) to highlight the forms of presentation of Kumpulan Dikir GAMUTRA to the public. Qualitative methods such as interviews and observations are used as sources of information. Findings showed that the process of bridging communication between the presenter and recipient. This communication process to respond and deliver the message through verbal and non-verbal symbols. This symbol is sent through communication technology through the presentation of Dikir GAMUTRA as a symbol of cultural consolidation of society. The findings showed that the Malays in Kampung Raja, Besut, Terengganu a rich artistic traditional music unique and special. Art is a cultural symbol in the village.
