Abstract

Penglipur Lara contributed to a storyteller who uses drums during the evening's entertainment to attract viewers. Storytellers in literature is seen as less educational resources presented and disclosed to the public, especially schoolchildren. The situation is causing this literature increasingly marginalized. This issue is caused by dumping of modern technology and transform their cultures and social patterns. This study was conducted to identify the techniques of storytelling, performance techniques presented by Lara contributed to Johor and examine effective methods for promoting them. The findings 10bor Heritage Foundation to organize strategies and promotional techniques through advertising in print and electronic media effectively and the best. The promotion will raise public awareness and indirectly help preserve traditional folk Malay prose literature.
