Abstract

This study aims to investigate the management of Masjid Ulul Albab Seberang Jertih, Besut, Terengganu for introduce woodcut heritage in Besut. In this study looking at management methods conducted by the management of the mosque attract visitors besides the main house of worship as well as a new attraction in Jertih. In addition, this study also performed to study the uniqueness of the wood carvings and motifs found on this Masjid Ulul Albab. The process of data collection is done using a method that involves several people interview the informer who has been directly involved in the initial construction of mosques, the production of wood carving motifs, as well as from the aspect of the mosque. The study found uniqueness mosque has its own, built with traditional Malay architecture inspired from the oldest mosques in Malaysia, Masjid Kampung Law, Tumpat Kelantan. Results the study found the special features as well as effective management has made the mosque as the city'S main attractions Jertih at present.
