Abstract

This study is regarding the Management of the Development and Tourism of Perak Museum, Taiping. This can be interpreted to analyse the methods used in technical improvement and development to the reform of the museum to attract visitors especially the youth nowadays to go to the museum. Besides, this study also can be explained through the survey conducted on visitors, namely as respondents who attended the Perak Museum thus also supported by facts gathered from interviews with informants and experienced experts on the field of management of the development and tourism of this museum. Furthermore, the study found that for the methods in the technique of creative and innovative improvements made by the museum gave a good impression in the hearts of visitors especially to the youth as well as the implementation of programs and activities that are to be seen giving effective impact for visitors to participate, and also methods of promotion used by the museum has been go through a lot of changes to further enhance the promotion methods through modern technology, for the reason of compelling visitors to this show can be proved in the findings of the study. The results of this study provide tremendous implications to the visitors especially the youth so that they are aware of the efforts that have been carried out by the museum to attract visitors especially the youth with more improvements so that the youth nowadays appreciate and value the place called as museum thus visit the museum and change their perception that all museums are boring places instead put museums as informal education institutions not only for youth but also public.
