Abstract

This research is about the overall concept for Panggau Pemerindang as an Iban entertainment magaz.ine. The study emphasizes on the visual identity inclusive of logo selection, colors, typography and graphic elements. Besides that, the study also focuses on visual hierarchy for example the arrangement of all the elements. Layout design is functioned to form an effective concept for Iban entertainment magazine. Among the concept used in thi S research is Punk or Grunge 111 the manipulation of typography, Art Deco as a reference for the layout design and traditional concept to produce a local based illustration to preserve the identity of Sarawak. The outputs or this study are five periodical magazines and one special ed ition to be published during festival month in Sarawak which happens in June to attract tourists to subscribe the magazine.
