Abstract
Costumes are enormously meaningful and are deeply entwined with our lives Costume is clearly part of the expression of meaning in portraying the history, gender, culture and customs of every communities. Research on the women's costumes of the coastal Malay in Sarawak has a big impact in the textile arts. It is a visual representation of the Malay culture.
