Abstract

In Malaysia, there are enormous agricultural residues that have been produced especially from the large plantation. Most of these waste are degraded naturally on the soil while others are burnt which can cause pollution to the environment. Nowadays, there is a lot of biotechnological potential used to take advantages from the wastes. One of the famous techniques is a solid state fermentation which can be used to produce fuel, chemicals, enzymes and food.
