Abstract
Many argued about the Organisation Islamic Conference (OIC) capability and it's role in defending Islamic rights and freedom. The world society assume that OIC is not serious in fighting the Islamic rights and states in solving any conflicts and disputes that disturbed the peace and sovereignty of the muslims. So, this research purpose is to see how true is these statements. It's also search deeply the effectiveness of OIC's role in defending the Islamic rights and the occurred in OIC which caused weaknesses in OIC and analyse the strategies taken by OIC in order to solve its problems and striggle to increase it's prestige and image in world society. To achieve these, the methodology of library research is used and can be concluded that OIC's efforts since its establishment (1969-1996) still need a few things to be done in order to acheve its goals. It's past weaknesses should be a notable example to build new history in future. In OIC's past constancy, it can be said that there's efforts have been done to help the muslime, but it stunt because of some internal and external barries. From this research, can be concluded that every failure of OIC is not a worst failure and the success of OIC is not an excellent success. If OIC wanted to build up its organisation as a better one, some new strategies need to be established and it still have this opportunity if it involve more active in world political order especially in Western political which is more globalize nowadays.
