Abstract
Dikir Barat is one of the many traditional Malay form of music in Kelantan. This research focuses on the role of the Tourism Information Centre (TIC) of Kelantan in promoting Dikir Barat among Malay youth in Kelantan. This research observes and analyses the promotional strategies by TIC Kelantan. This research also examines the level of acceptance by Malay youth of this musical art form and its ability to remain an important aspect of the cultural heritage of Kelantan.
