Abstract
Employee selection can be considered as routine job for staffs in human resource department. Although, it is done occasionally whenever there is jobs opening in the organization, employee selection process is a complex procedure that involves a number of selection methods, such as short listing based on academic and working experience qualification, interviewing and pre-employment test. Other than that, employee selection has to be done on a big pool of up to hundreds of applicant. Hence, a system that facilitates employee selection process is needed to ensure the selection process is done in an efficient and effective manner. interview and survey has been conducted to gather needed data and information in analyzing the current and the proposed system. The finding from the interview and survey is used in determining the design and the implementation of the proposed system. Hence a standalone Computerized system so called Recruitment Selection System (RSS) has been designed and developed to include functions that can assist Human Resource Department staff's in process to\\ards choosing the best person fur the job according to the need ofthe organization. RSS is developed by using Microsoft Visual Basic as a programming language. Microsoft Access as database management system. It provides services in keeping record on applicants' particulars and job specifications (that are the requirements for the jobs offered). It contains underlying organization rules that define how the employee selection is being processed. It otters processing abilities in short listing applicants and calibrating the results of different emploýcc selection methods which are defined bý the organization rules. Besides. it produces document either in the form of letter or report, which are based on the data from related databases
