Abstract
This is a case of a patient with multiple comorbidities presented with symptoms suggestive of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) and was treated accordingly. However, culture later identified as Mycobacterium abscessus complex, highlighting the diagnostic challenges in differentiating non- tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) from MTB cases.
