Abstract
The purpose of this study was conducted to examine the relationship between leadership traits which included self-confident, integrity, charisma and motivation toward teamwork effectiveness in organization. This study also identified the dominant leadership trait toward the level of teamwork effectiveness in the organization. The population of this study cover all the supporting staff in organization. There are 50 of supporting staffs from Ibu Pejabat Telekom, Jalati Sinipang Tiga, Kuching, Sarawak were selected as a sample of this study through the used of simple random sampling method. Reliability test was carried out for ten respondents and gave the result of Alpha Coefficient as 0.920. In this study, the inferential statistic was used to analyse the collected data through the Pearson Correlation test and Multiple Linear Regression test. The result showed majority among the respondent (74%) agreed that their teamwork achievement are at a high level of effectiveness. Pearson Correlation test show that self confident (r = 0.316, p<0.05), integrity (r=0.432, p<0.01), charisma (r=0.535, p<0.01) and motivation (r = 0.494, p<0.01) are related to the teamwork effectiveness. Analysis of Multiple Linear Regression test proved that charisma (R2=0.197, p<0.05) represent the dominant factor that influence the teamwork effectiveness. The outcome of this study indicates that there is a significant correlation between the relationships of all leadership traits studied with teamwork effectiveness.
