Abstract

Emotional intelligence is the individual ability which is relate with emotion and capable in controlling emotion to enhance the intelligence. The purpose of this research was to identify the moderator role of life satisfaction between emotional intelligence and coping. This research was focus on two aspects, perceiving emotion and managing emotion in self. Respondent for this research was 217 students at Institut Perguruan Tun Abdul Razak Kota Samarahan. Research design that has been chosen was quantitative by using Emotional Intelligence Scale, Satisfaction with Life Scale and Emotional Approach Coping Scales as instrument. From the research, life satisfaction exists as the moderator between perceiving emotion and managing emotion in self. While, its failed to be a moderator for the relationship between the emotional intelligence and coping. There also have research implication and recommendation , for further researcher.
