Abstract

This study was aims to assess about decision making in selection employees for the position of waiter, cashier and cook This study was conduct at five restaurants that place in Kuching town and Kota Samarahan. Interview method was used to obtain information from respondent, which is restaurant manager. The objective for this study was dividing into two parts which is, general and specific objective. The general objective examine show restaurant manager makes decision making in selection for position waiters, cashier and cook. Meanwhile, there have three specific objectives. Firstly, to identify the factor to receive or refuse application for waiter position at restaurant A, B, C, D and E. Secondly, to identify the factor to receive or refuse application for cashier position at restaurant A,B, C, D and E. Lastly, to identify the factor for receive and refuse application for cook position at restaurant A, B, C, D and E. Based on the finding, show that there have several factor influence respondent decision in recruitment and selection. Besides that, researcher included recommendation for restaurant manager and future researcher.
