Abstract
Sarawak is home to many species of conservation importance, many of which are endemic to the island of Borneo. These forest-dependent species thrive in the state’s extensive protected area network, which includes not only national parks and wildlife sanctuaries but also High Conservation Value Areas (HCVAs) located within production forests and oil palm plantations.
