Abstract

Nowadays, modern organizations have been succumbing to transparencies and development that always require new approach and study in the area of work. Regarding this matter, quality and performance has always been the yardstick for the measurement of development within an organization in the aspect of work. Formerly, studies on these two variables of work, which are namely; quality and performance, have traditionally done separately. This research will feature the study of ' these two variables of work in a combined manner, but in addition to that, other independent variables of work will also be considered in this research. The location of research will be that of ' Telekom Malaysia Berhad (Sandakan Branch), since the organization itself' encapsulates various aspects of working environment that which are; its workers, the equipments used; and the functions of management; etc. Rather than just focusing on the relationships between the working environment and the quality and performance of work, this research will also. feature the managerial design that plays the important role of sustaining the organization and also the role of consumers. The findings of this research however suggests that even though all the elements of working environment have its influence and relationship with the quality and work performance, not all of them will have the same significant interactions. This is all the more reason for organizations, especially TMB to work on all of the variables of working environment in order to improve and to increase the quality and work performance of its employees. This research will also take into considerations, about the sensitivity of information on quality and work performance that are given by the organization. However, every organization should realized that this issue of sensitivity should not hinder them to provide important information in order to assist this research in its task of diagnosing and suggesting future improvement in the sense of quality and work performance
