Abstract

This study aims to investigate the relationship between factors of job satisfaction and job performances among the supporting staff, Unimas. Questionnaires were used to obtain feedback from 82 respondents who were selected by using the random sampling method. The questionnaires comprised the information about respondents' demography, factors of job satisfaction and job performance. In this research, the independent variable were the factors of job satisfaction which include the ages, gender and level of education, pay, promotion opportunity, supervisors and co-workers. Whereas the dependent variables was job performance. Probability and percentages were used to determine the distribution of chooses demography. Besides, most of the respondents were found to have a higher job performance level. ANOVA was used to determine the significant difference between age ( F = 1.124, p < 0. 05), and level of education (F = 2.147, p < 0. 05) with job performance. T- test were used to determine the significant difference between gender (t = -0.920, p < 0.05) with job performance. Therefore, Pearson Correlation r was used to find out the not significant relationship with factor satisfaction of pay (r = 0. 179, p < 0. OJ) with job performance. On the other hand, the results from Pearson's Correlation Coefficient test indicated that satisfaction towards the promotion (r = 0.430 p < 0.01), supervisors (r =0.390, p < 0.01) and co-workers (r =0.414, p < 0.01) had a significantly positive relationship with job performance. In conclusion, the study was important to contribute to effort and inform the management to fulfill the needs to improve. the job satisfaction and job performance in order to achieve mission and vision of the organization.
