Abstract

This research was about factors that influence the implementation of quality control circle(QCC) towards QCC practitioners. It was conducted to study whether organizational factors influence implementation of quality control circle towards QCC practitioners in Sarawak Economic Development Corporation(SEDC). The aim of this research also was to identify how strong the relationship between the four of the organizational factors towards the implementation of QCC. Four of the factors that have been chosen as the independent factors are training, communication, motivation and management commitment. A set of questionnaires has been used for the purpose of collecting data. These questions divided into three parts. The questions in Part A discuss about demographic factors of respondents, Part B about the organizational factors include training, communication, motivation and management commitment while Part C for implementation of QCC practice towards the practitioners. There were 55 respondents from managerial and non-managerial level involved in this study. The collected data was analyzed by using computer software, Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) Window Release Version I 1.5. Outcome of the Pearson Correlation analysis found that all of the factors including training, communication, motivation and management commitment were correlated to the effectiveness of QCC implementation among the QCC practitioners. All of this factors showed the medium correlation. Outcome of this research also found that all of the organizational factors had a high level of the effectiveness. So, this research shown that training, communication, motivation and management commitment were influence the effectiveness of QCC. Then, the top management of this organization need to considers some aspects in order to enhance the effectiveness of QCC towards QCC practitioners to make this activity very successful for all workers in order to give excellent and quality services.
