Abstract

the main purpose of this research is to redesign the website of hospital sentosa and on the same time to determine the effectiveness of the navigational system and the information architecture of the website. Twenty respondents were selected randomly to answer the questionnaire. In order to investigate the effectiveness of the navigational system and the information architecture of the website, three assumptions were made. The assumptions were (i) by using basic website layout users will know to navigate in the website (ii) by using mixed structure, user will know how to navigate in the website. The collected data were analyzed using statistical package for social science (SPSS) Version 11.0. The results were discussed using statistical descriptive. The findings of this research found that all of the assumptions were accepted. Thus, navigational system and information architecture is important to determine the effectiveness of website.
