Abstract

This final year project studies the general structure of counseling management system of SMK Kanowit. This project is tries to change the current implementation of the system towards an electronic system. Counseling Information System (CIS) a computerized system is developed to assist counselor in counseling records management. CIS provide an efficient and systematic management environment within the counseling room. This system is able to store data and provide simple reports to the user. Studies were conducted on current manual process and similar management system in order to get guideline on the implementation of an effective computerized system. This system is developed using Visual Basic 6.0. Microsoft Access was use as the database for the system. System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology is used for developing CIS. This thesis will explain the background study, methodology, system analysis, system design, system implementation, system testing and evaluation, and the potential of future enhancements.
