Abstract
In conjunction with the Golden Jubilee celebration of photography education, the ITM/UiTM Photography Alumni Association (FOKUS), in collaboration with Galeri Seni Tuanku Nur Zahirah (UiTM GESTURZ), Shah Alam, presents Pameran FOKUS@50. This exhibition showcases 50 works by alumni, spanning from earlier to more recent creations. It highlights the significant contributions of alumni across various genres and bridges the gap between past and present generations. A special highlight is the participation of alumni from the very first photography cohort of 1973. The works illustrate the evolution and assimilation of photographic technology, from analog methods in 1973 to current digital techniques. This transformation reflects a shift from technically intensive practices to digital software proficiency. The exhibition celebrates the fusion of high technical skill and deep understanding of modern software, producing photographers equipped with competitive, cutting-edge capabilities aligned with the latest advancements.
