Abstract

Energy is critical for sustainable development because it is not only necessary for economic development, but also because this necessity drives societies towards environmentally unsound energy use and could severely compromises the planet itself. The need for access to electricity in rural areas is increasing every day due to increase in standard of living. Nowadays, people who use electricity without grid system, especially in rural areas, and this prompted the government to come forward and help the population of this country to provide electricity, water and roads to rural communities. Realizing the situation, efforts to prepare and connect rural areas that have no electricity is always done from time to time though to use mediums such as generator, solar system and small hydro-power. This project proposed solar hydro hybrid monitoring system to supply the power for each room at longhouse in Kg. Semulong Ulu. A friendly graphical user interface (GUI) will be developed for monitoring.
