Abstract

This research focuses on the female's representation that smokes cigarette in film. The aspect of the research looks upon the importance using cigarette as a prop for female characters in films. The research objective is to identify Ihe functions and symbol of the cigarette as a prop in films. The researcher also wants to identify the characteristics and the representation of females in films. The uses of props Can help in the character development of a character. cigarette symbolizes as phallic in films. The purpose of the research is to study on the symbolic and function of a cigarette in female characters in Malaysian films.
