Abstract

Some people tend to forget or misplace the thing even inside their home. It is desired that there would be a tracking and finder system to help people to find their valuables belongings that they might have misplaced all around in the house. This system will help people to track the region of the items whereabouts. Once the range of place had been identified, the Finder will be use to locate the exact location of the item. In this project, we present a tracking system and Finder system using TelosB sensor to track the range of the location of the item and MICA2 sensor to detect the object's exact location. For the system to work the telosB sensor must be installed in every main sections of the house. Once the sensor that particular section had been triggered it will reduce the range of the target location and save more time in detecting the misplaced item. The Mica2 sensor then will be used to determine the exact location of the item. When the user wants to find missing item like wallet, keys, mobile phone in their home, the sensor will detects the item, the buzzer will trigger, the closer the item to the user, the faster buzzer will sound and the LED light sensor will change the colour based on length that we decide to indicate that their item near to them. This combination of these two sensors will save a lot of time compared to the usage of only one of them. A prototype system is introduced in this paper.
