Abstract

The rapid growth and spread of the mobile application are transforming technology to the new phase. Smartphones are becoming important demand that could not be a lack of human being hence the demand for mobile application has increased incredibly. Android is a popular open source platform available for developers to create innovative applications provided by Google. The main aim of the project is to build an Android application that helps the users to overcome the problems exist in the current manual system. The solution of existing systems may be good enough for the current manual system, but it could have better improvement. The main features provided by Student-Lecturer Android Based Mobile Appointment System sgoL L¥LVmUr a F± allowed all the Android users, especially for the students and lecturers in university which will enable them to schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments through instant messaging and manage. oL L¥LVmUr x·Q} F­ c­ add appointment to calendar function which provided a template of appointment that contain item lists of type, select date and time, title of appointment, location, guest, ±c� cHX ·cb F%­ c·?·cxc&XE until and appointment description for students or lecturers to record all the information of appointment in their calendar. Students and Lecturer are able to view appointment detail from the calendar and edit or delete it as well. Notification features are to remind students and lecturers about the incoming new message and appointed time is near. The main contribution of this project has developed an android based mobile appointment application for students and lecturer to schedule and manage their appointment through instant messaging and calendar by using their smartphone
