Abstract

This research is attempt to investigate the effect of organizational culture as moderating role between the relationship of financial and non-financial compensations toward employee's performance. Based on this research, types of compensation in terms of financial and non-financial forms (job design, training and development, and empowerment) are used to predict the behavior of employees in term of their performance. Meanwhile, organizational culture is taken into the research as a moderator. There is total of eight hypotheses which were formed and investigated with the employees from financial institutions in Kuching, Sarawak, as the respondents for this research. The data collected from respondents is in a form of 5-point Likert Scale questionnaire. The results indicated a noteworthy effect of financial compensations on employee's performance compared to non-financial compensations. In term of the organizational culture as moderator seems to be insignificant on its moderating role toward the relationship of both financial and non-financial compensations toward employee's performance.
