Abstract
This research was carried out to investigate the Effect of Using Metacognitive Training in Solving Mathematical Problem at Primary School : A Case Study. Twenty eight students of primary five at Sekolah Kebangsaan Bakong Sri Aman participated in this research. The dependent variable in this study was student achievement while the independent variable was the training given to the student. This research was an experimental design research where the students were divided into two group, experimental and control group. Student achievement was measured by finding the mean's difference between student mark during pretest and posttest in both groups and the results compared using SPSS Software. It can be concluded that using metacognitive training can help students to improve their performance in solving mathematical problem in primary school. This was based on previous finding that showed that students in the experimental group achieved higher mark compared to students in the control group.
