Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of environmental factors on the academic brilliance of cognitive science students. The study sample involved 90 students from the Faculty of Cognitive Science and Human Development (FSKPM) inside the University of Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). Respondent consists of year three students from cognitive science programs. The data was analyzed based on the percentage and frequency of respondents who answered questions based on the answer " Strongly disagree, Disagree, Agree, Strongly agree ". In this study, demographic attributes were broken down to peer factors and faculty cultural factors while for inference statistics also used the methods of "One-sample T-Test, Spearman's Correlation and Multiple Linear Regression". The results showed that there was no significant association between peer factors, faculty culture factors, and academic performance of cognitive science students. Finally, recommendations for reviews are submitted for future study improvements.
