Generally this research aims to find out the factors that influence the employees' perception on career development in the organization. This research was carried out at the Beras Corporation Sdn. Bhd. branches at Kolombong, Kota Kinabalu and Tuaran. This research studies the relationship between the independent variables such as the management support, career development opportunity, job fit and employees' internal factors (interest and effort) as well as the demographic characteristics of employees' with the perception of employees on career development in the organization. The survey method was used by distributing questionnaires to respondents chosen randomly from the selected population. A sample of 34 respondents were chosen from a total population of 42. The Pearson Correlation test was used to determine the relationship between the independent variables and the perception of employees on career development in the organization. While T-test was used to determine the relationship between the demographic characteristics and the perception of employees on career development in the organization. Result shows only one null hypothesis that was accepted which is there is no significant differences between the education level with the perception of employees on career development in the organization. Other null hypothesizes were rejected. Therefore, the organization should consider the factors that can influence the perception of employees on the career development programs as it can influence the effectiveness and the performance of the organization that disregard these factors.
