Abstract

Study on bat diversity was conducted at Gunung Gading National Park for twelve days. Data for comparison of bat diversity were obtained from primary and secondary sources. Primary data was obtained from the field sampling at Gunung Gading National Park. Meanwhile, the secondary data was obtained from the previous studies done at Mount Singai and Mount Jagoi. The bat populations were compared in terms of species diversity, similarity and shared species. The data were analysed using EstimateS version 9.1.0 and PAST version 3.06. The results showed that Gunung Gading National Park had higher species richness than Mount Jagoi and Mount Singai. Mount Jagoi was significantly higher in number of bat captured, however, it showed the least species richness. The three bat communities had a low similarity and significantly difference to each other. Three of them shared only five species.
