Abstract

The idea of JomTukar offers some important insights which can help the community to barter, exchange and swap items systematically. The first and foremost advantage of it is the simplest system of trade which involves no complications. It helps the user to exchange their products or items without any hassles of the modern-day monetary exchange system. They are also exchanging items with the same need and interests of themselves. While there are many approaches in creating online bartering, but the system is still lacking especially in Malaysia. Hence, the main purpose of developing the JomTukar System is to help the community to barter, exchange and swap items by providing a specific platform for the interaction and communication between the barterer and customer online. The main significance of the proposed system would be the features for the user to upload items along with the description to easily find and get an exchange partner easily. Special features such as giving a review, chat, blocking users and items for the administrator can really help the user to have the best experience while using the proposed system. In conclusion, the proposed system has achieved the three objectives proposed. The proposed system also meets the requirement given by the client. Overall, for the proposed system, the respondents have given a lot of good feedback on the system user interface.
