Abstract

This proposed project is designed to detect unauthorized entry into a house and to improve the efficiency of the home security alert system. Home Security Alert System Using Arduino and GSM is a system that combining security system and GSM technology. This system will allow user and guard a residential to receive a Short Message Service (SMS) whenever door or windows of the house are forced to open without permission. The development of this home security system involves both hardware and software components. The hardware circuit design is built on the Arduino’s board. The software program developed is used to control all the functions of the system and it is developed using Integrated Development Environment (IDE). The methodology used to develop the proposed application in this project is the Rapid Application Development (RAD) model, because changes can be done easily, and the time taken for project development is short.
