EaTime is an Android mobile application that is developed to provide a platform for eatery services to reach out to customers of University Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas). This platform can benefit both eateries and customers. One of the most common problem is that a customer arrives at an eatery and find that it is fully booked. Thus, the potential customer will either have to wait or leave. Another problem is the unavailability of menu items. In this case, the potential customer is unable to order the menu items that he or she intended to order. Furthermore, most potential customers cannot find listing of menu items online for a particular eatery before planning a visit to the eatery. Hence, EaTime is proposed as a platform that can be used by customers of the eateries to make a booking and pre-order menu items easily. Customer will be able to experience hassle-free dining with confirmed booking and faster serving time for pre-ordered items. From the perspective of the eateries, handling the customers’ booking and food pre-order physically posed several challenges. Each eatery takes time to manage the customer’s booking and food pre-order having a staff member filling in the paper-based form. Therefore, automating the process of booking and pre-order menu items through this platform can help to speed up the eatery operational services.
