Abstract

The objective of this study is to explore the effectiveness of recruitment and selection functions in one of the service provide company in Kuala Lumpur. Recruitment and selection is a vital process or decision of a company, as we know employee is important asset of organization. Employee will effect the productivity and performance of an organization. Qualitative method is used to get deep understanding on this study. Semi-structured interview method and data analysis are the strategy to make sure that the collected data give impact in achieving the research objective. Moreover, this study found six findings on informant's understanding and experience in the field of recruitment and selection. From the result of the findings, the most preferable recruitment tool is the recruitment agency and the most cost-effective recruitment tool is employee referral. While the most preferable method is an interview and the most cost-effective selection methods are interview and screening. In conclusion, the organization and human resource practice need carry out the effort like assessment center and return on investment to evaluate and assist in recruit and select the right candidate in the right position for the organization.
