Abstract

This research aims to explore the relationship between training and performance of employee as well as to explore how job satisfaction of employee in Oil and gas industry at Petra Energy company, Miri. The design that apply in this research was the quantitative survey. A total of 120 questionnaire were distribute to employee at Petra Energy in Miri and 70 questionnaires were return. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistic and inferential statistic. However, the analysis that use to determine the relationship between training and employee performance and job satisfaction was Pearson Correlation. The Hierarchical Regression Analysis was used to measure how far the job satisfaction determine the relationship between training and employee performance. From the result of the research the determination has proven that there was a relationship among training and employee performance and job satisfaction as well it also indicate that job satisfaction partially mediated the relationship between training and employee performance as all the result outcome are statistically significant. The findings of this study provide a better guideline to the employers in order to understand jobs satisfaction have relationship between training and employee performance.
