Abstract

Amphibians are a group of animals that can live both in water and on land. Amphi means dual, bios refers to life, thus, amphibians in Greek means dual life. The tailed amphibians are salamamders and newts, while the more familiar tailless amphibians form a group of animals called the Anura. Members of the Anura include frogs and toad.
