Abstract

Language is a communication tool in society that is a sound symbol produced by human speech tools. Language also symbolizes ethnicity, identity, or ethnic group. In this paper, the researcher highlighted the use of Singai Segong's language as the main medium in the performance of the work as well as using video views as a style and the application of contemporary ideas. The methodology used in this study is by using ethnographic approaches. There is a difference of "Sigumang" or songwriting in the past with a book that was used as a source of reference.
