Abstract

A study on the community structure ofmacrofauna in rawr clam (Solen sp,) area was conducted at the intertidal area in Bako and Buntal beaches, Transect line was established from Mean High Water Neap to Mean Low Water Neap. The study was conducted to obtain information on the community structure of mac rom una and their relationships with the selected environmental factors, In the present study, 18 (alta of macromuna namely Gastropoda. Bivalvia, Polychaeta, Pogonophora, Oligochaeta, Echiura, Arnphipoda. Decapoda, Ostracoda. Cum.eea, Copepoda, Echinoidea, Ophiuroidea, Brachiopoda. Foraminifera. Cnidaria. Nematoda. and Gastrotrich. were recorded, Identification of specimen was carried out to order leveL In general, number of taxa has .'!rong positive correlation with temperature, In Bako area, Bivalvia has very strong positive correlation with temperature (r=0,91O, p<0,05),
