Abstract
This thesis examines the ritual and function which link to the Dustin's Sumazau dance. This study identify the movements of sumazau dance that mutually complementary to the fertility rites ceremony. Furthermore, the researcher will analyze the ritual and believes that relates to rice spirits worship by the Dusun community. The analysis of this study shows that factor such as believes plays an important role in the continuation and practiced of the Sumazau dance which are slowly coming into extinction due to modernization and changing of lifestyles.
