Abstract

Simulation of an LED (Used in Optical Communication) is a thesis project where we are going to design a block diagram that simulate the rate equation of an l LED by using MATLAB software. The rate equation describes the densities of injected carriers of stimulated photon. Indeed, because of its special characteristics, it is used in optical communication that acts as an optical source. Its fundamental is to convert electrical energy in the form of current into optical energy that is light in efficient manner which allows light output to be launched or coupled into the optical fiber. However LED provides optical emission without inherent gain mechanism, which results in incoherent light output.
