Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the physical environment of a classroom in the secondary school. This study is intended to describe the features of physical environment and to fmd out the use of the four walls of the classroom in the secondary school. About 100 classes from 10 selective secondary schools were involved in this study. Two classes are selected mainly from Form I to Form 5. This research is using observation checklist in order to describe the classroom physical environment. Research outcome shows that the number and features of classroom physical environment used in the classroom can affect the teaching and learning process. The four walls also have it benefits as the notice board, subject comer and also to display students' task or project.
