Abstract

Various metal-doped MnO, were synthesized by chemical synthesis method. These synthesized products were being characterized using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), UV-VIS Spectrometer and Cyc lic Voltammetry. SEM micrographs showed that the dark brown manganese dioxide nanoparticles form agglomerates of large gra in sizes. All metal dopants as determined by AAS were very low in concentration which varied from 0.23% in Li-doped MnO, to 11.5% in fe-doped MnO,. Studies by cyclic vOltammetry showed that charge capacity of manganese dioxide thin films were greatly affected by the types of dopants and their annealin g temperatures.
